Our client is a full service european rating agency company with high added value benchmark in its sector, with an important international project development. Practice areas include corporate, project finance, structured debt, financial institutions and sovereign ratings.
Reporting to the Director Reating Analysis, the candidate is expected to take a lead in all structured ratings activities, that include the overseeing and development of rating methodologies and coordinating the full rating process. Must be a great communicator with the ability to interact with senior market counterparties. The individual will take an active role in rating committees.
+ Degree in business/economics or equivalents. CFA, MBA would be a plus
+ More than 5 years of experience in a rating agency, arranger of structured transactions or asset manager (debt advisory role)
+ Broad experience in structuring complex transactions
+ Strong understanding of financial and capital markets
+ Superb communications skills
+ Fluent in English and Spanish both written and spoken. Portuguese a plus
+ Strong Excel skills
Main functions and responsibilities of the position:
+ Taking ownership of the structured finance ratings area
+ Take lead in full rating process including detailed analysis of underlying assets, transaction structures and cash flow models
+ Take lead in maintaining and creating new methodologies
+ High level interaction with market participants (banks, asset managers, arrangers)
+ Communicate to the market (investors, clients, regulators) at a very technical level, the evolution of the different methodologies and our value proposition
